Fiber Laser cutters improve and widen the capacities of the CO2 lasers, as the first industrial lasers did with the plasma machines.
In Fiber Lasers, the beam is generated in a truDisk laser, instead of in the well-known resonator, which results in a beam far more focused. Consequently, there is a significant increase in speed when cutting thin materials. In addition, this beam can be confined in an optical fiber to be transferred to the working area, eliminating the mirror system of traditional machines. Fiber Laser cutters improve and widen the capacities of the CO2 lasers, as the first industrial lasers did with the plasma machines.
All of this makes Fiber Lasers remarkably better than the CO2 Lasers when it comes to efficiency and cutting speed. Furthermore, it enables the cutting of Copper alloys.
